Rio Grande Blvd and Paseo Del Bosque

Starting in the Old Town, ride through some of the greenest parts of Albuquerque. Rio Grande Blvd is a mellow street (25mph limit) with a bike shoulder passing through the adobe-filled village of Rio Rancho. The return route is the classic Bosque bike path that follows the forests lining the Rio Grande river. Lots of classic Albuquerque locations to stop in for a drink or a snack.

Coffee shops: Cutbow. Flying Star is a small local chain of diners with retro atmosphere and great cake.

Drinks: Los Poblanos is an upscale complex of event space, hotel, cafe, restaurant and patio in a farm setting.

Food: El Patio serves some of the best New Mexican cuisine around.
